Anti-graffiti film is a clear, removable layer applied over the glass. Tagging, scratching and acid etching land on the film rather than the pane beneath it, so the damage is held in a surface layer that an installer can lift off and replace. For Eagle storefronts and shared buildings, that means a defaced window can often be brought back to a clean look by renewing the film instead of ordering new glazing, provided the damage has not reached the glass itself. Keeping a frontage looking cared for also helps discourage repeat tagging.

It depends on how many panes are involved, their size and how easily they can be reached. Because the work means lifting one surface layer and applying another rather than replacing glass, it is usually planned around a business day rather than a shutdown. An installer can look at the frontage, confirm what is practical and give you a realistic schedule before anything is booked.

Vandalism that lands on the film is taken by the film. The glass underneath stays as it was, and the response is to replace a surface layer rather than order and fit new glazing. The two overlap, but they are built for different problems. Anti-vandalism and security films are heavier and made to help hold broken glass together under impact. Neither prevents damage outright, so an Eagle building facing both tagging and impact risk should talk the combination through with an installer.

It is fitted as a sacrificial layer, so a marked panel can be removed and re-covered without touching the glazing behind it. Surfaces, frames and existing glass vary from building to building, so ask your installer to look at the elevation first and confirm how removal and replacement will be handled on your site.

The work happens on the glass surface, so it can often be scheduled around quieter periods and handled elevation by elevation while the building stays in use. Talk to the installer about access, trading hours and which panes matter most, and the visit can be planned to suit the property rather than the other way round.
