Car Window Tinting Alabama

It cuts the infrared heat you feel through the glass, lets less than 1% of ultraviolet through, softens glare and makes the cabin harder to see into. Ultraviolet is the quiet one: it is what takes the color out of a dashboard and trim over a few summers, and every shade blocks it, however light the film. Kepler warrants its automotive film for as long as the original named customer owns the vehicle, on film supplied and installed by an authorized Kepler installer. It covers manufacturing faults — cracking, delamination, peeling, persistent bubbling, adhesive failure and unusual color change — rather than the installation work itself. Keep the completed warranty card with the original dated invoice, because a claim is submitted through the business that installed the film rather than to Kepler directly. The cover is also non-transferable: it ends when the car changes hands.

For passenger cars, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency publishes one figure for the glass beside you and behind you: side and rear windows must still let at least 32% of light through, with a 3% tolerance. Only the upper six inches of the windshield may be tinted, and the material there must be transparent; reflective material may not reflect more than 20% of light. Yes, within the state's limits, which come from Act 96-534 and are summarized by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. Tinting that meets the standard must also carry a visible sticker or label of compliance, which ALEA says is affixed by a tinting dealer. Drivers with certain medical conditions can apply to ALEA for an exemption on their physician's certification, which may be issued with conditions attached. It can, but going at it in a hurry is how glass gets scratched and the heater lines in a rear window get damaged, which is a more expensive problem than the film ever was. Two things, mainly. The construction is nano-ceramic rather than dyed, which our Alabama ceramic window tinting page covers in detail. The second is that Kepler publishes figures for every shade in both of its automotive ranges, so a quote names a film you can look up. Check your own warranty documentation, or ask the dealership that sold you the car, before booking anything — Kepler cannot speak for another manufacturer's terms. Kepler's own cover is a separate thing: it applies to the film, not to the vehicle.

Kepler's published aftercare is to keep freshly tinted windows closed for one week after installation, and to allow up to four weeks for the film to cure. Small water pockets are part of that, so leave them to evaporate rather than pressing them out; along the dot-matrix edge of the glass you may also see a temporary glow or uneven edge, which settles as the film dries. After that, a clean microfiber cloth is all the glass needs.
