It is a fair question. Applying window film to the glass does not normally have any bearing on the mechanical or electrical warranty covering the rest of your vehicle, and warranty terms vary between manufacturers. If you have any doubt, check your warranty documents or ask your vehicle dealer before booking, and ask your installer about the coverage that applies to the film itself.

Looking after new film is straightforward. Clean the glass with a soft cloth and a gentle, non-abrasive cleaner, and keep scrapers, rough pads and harsh chemicals away from the tinted surface. Fresh film needs time to cure, so leave the windows up and hold off on cleaning the inside of the glass for as long as your installer recommends.
