Newly applied film needs time to cure, so leave the windows up and avoid cleaning the inside of the glass until your installer says it is ready; they will give you a timeframe for your car. Once the film has cured, park in direct sun, lower a window partway and compare the inside surface of the tinted section with the untinted glass by hand. It is a rough comparison rather than a measurement; installers use infrared meters for a proper reading and can demonstrate the difference for you.
