Energy-focused film works by reducing heat transfer at the glass, which is often the weakest point in an otherwise well-insulated home. Cutting the solar heat that arrives through sun-facing windows takes some load off the cooling system in summer, and the same film continues to handle glare and UV year round. For many homes it is a lighter-touch alternative to replacing glazing, applied to the windows you already have. What it can achieve depends on the existing glass, its orientation and the film chosen, so identify the glazing before deciding. A Kepler dealer can look at the windows and recommend a suitable option.
