Fitting film is surface work on the glass you already have, so nothing is cut, drilled or reglazed. What that means for your opening hours depends on the site and the number of panels, and the dealer will tell you how they want to work around your trading when they quote.

Repair and replacement are one-off responses to damage already done, while the film is a standing arrangement for damage you expect. It also keeps the response simple, because renewing a panel of film does not involve taking glazing out of the frame.
